The Haveli Chronicle” is a design exploration that unfolds the layered architectural, cultural, and artisanal story of Jaipur through its most celebrated built form—the haveli. Rooted in the vernacular architecture of Rajasthan’s Pink City, this project examines how traditional haveli interiors evolved from socio-cultural needs, climatic intelligence, and craftsmanship, and how these timeless principles can be reinterpreted into contemporary interior design. The project does not merely recreate the visual appearance of Jaipur’s historic havelis; instead, it seeks to decode the logic, emotion, and cultural memory embedded in them. By understanding these dwellings as narratives—narratives of community, climate, craft, and culture—“The Haveli Chronicle” aims to translate their inherent values into modern interior spaces without losing their authenticity.
